SCFC Codes of Conduct

  

SCFC Players Code of Conduct

§  Play by the rules and within the rules of the game

§  To turn up to both match day and/or training sessions prepared to play and with the correct attire being boots, shin pads and water

§  Do not argue or question an official.  Use the correct channels such as captain, coach or manager approach the official during the break or after competition.

§  Swearing, verbal, racial and physical abuse is not tolerated.

§  Maintain a positive attitude, behaviour and manners at all time

§  Display good sportsmanship, applaud all players whether they are your team or the opposition.

§  Never criticize another’s playing ability and treat all players as you would like to be treated.

§  Do not interfere with, bully, harass or take unfair advantage of another player.  This extends to social networking sites.

§  Respect and co-operate with your coaches, team mates, opponents and club officials.

§  Enjoy yourself, it is a game.  Play for your own benefit and enjoyment and not just to please others.

§  Respect club facilities which are provided for the enjoyment of all both at home and away matches.

§  Always promote SCFC in a positive manner.

§  The inappropriate use of social media (Facebook, Instagram, tiktok, forums etc.) relating to the club, its members and other clubs / players will not be tolerated.

 

SCFC Coaches & Officials Code of Conduct

§  Place the safety and welfare of the participants above all else

§  Accept responsibility for all actions taken and report any incidents to the club committee

§  Be impartial and avoid any situation that may lead to a conflict of interest

§  Be courteous, respectful and open to discussion and interaction with players and parents/guardians

§  Be a positive role model in behaviour, sportsmanship and personal appearance.

§  Do not harass players.

§  Praise and encourage players and provide clear instructions

§  Show concern and caution towards sick and injured players

§  Remember the primary objective is for you and the players to have fun and participate

§  All players should receive equivalent game time over the season

§  Coaches / Managers must not enter the field of play without consent of the referee

§  Coaches / Managers must not speak to or approach a player from an opposition team (including in-house games).

§  Always promote SCFC in a positive manner.

§  The inappropriate use of social media (Facebook, Instagram, tiktok, forums etc.) relating to the club, its members and other clubs / players will not be tolerated.

 

SCFC Parents / Spectators Code of Conduct

§  Remember that children play the game for their enjoyment not yours.

§  Encourage children to participate, do not force them.

§  Focus on the player's effort and performance rather than winning or losing.

§  Encourage children to play according to the rules of the game.

§  Spectators, including parents/guardians are not to give any tactical or coaching direction whatsoever to any player during game or training – this is what a coach is for

§  Spectators, including parents/guardians are not to approach a coach or manager to give tactical or coaching direction during a match or training

§  Never ridicule or yell at a child (whether your child or not) for making a mistake or losing a game.

§  Remember that children learn best by example. Encourage and applaud good play by both teams

§  Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse, including swearing

§  Show your appreciation of volunteer coaches, officials and administrators. Without them your child could not participate

§  Respect referee and official's decisions and teach children to do likewise.

§  Encourage children to recognise the value of an honest effort so that the result of each game is accepted without undue disappointment.

§  Ensure your child is not left unattended prior to or after training sessions or fixtures.

§  Ensure your child safely arrives to or departs from the club for training sessions or fixtures.

§  Help the Club Administration by alerting them to or fixing a matter which presents a risk to the wellbeing of the players, members or visitors of the club.

§  Smoking is prohibited at our venue except for dedicated "smoking areas".

§  The consumption of alcohol outside the defined areas is prohibited.

§  Do not enter the field of play or approach coaches / managers during the game or training sessions.

§  Always promote SCFC in a positive manner.

§  The inappropriate use of social media (Facebook, Instagram, tiktok, forums etc) relating to the club, its members and other clubs / players will not be tolerated.

 

Refund Policy

SCFC will offer a refund, a part thereof, under the following circumstances:

No Team Available for a Player:

A full refund will be given for all club membership / registration fees paid. This ONLY applies if the Club cannot allocate a player into a team and does not apply to a player refusing a position in a team.


Other Circumstances:

A part refund for Squirts, Miniroos, Divisional or Senior Players who have been registered but have not participated in an official club fixture (for MiniRoos) or Football Brisbane Fixture (for all other categories) including Football Brisbane grading matches will be eligible for a part refund.  SCFC will be entitled to retain from the full registration costs of the player, a Club Administration charge of up to $100. 


Any Squirts, Miniroos, Divisional or Senior Players who have been registered and have participated in an official club fixture (for Miniroos) or Football Brisbane fixture (for all other categories) including Football Brisbane grading matches, no refund will be offered.

No refund is offered for any merchandise purchased.


NB. Please note in the case of payment plans, refunds will be offered based on amount paid to date, less the relevant charge as above.

Any exception to the SCFC Refund Policy is at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
