Welcome to Slacks Creek Football Club

A Pillar of Community and Excellence Since 1974

Founded in 1974, Slacks Creek Football Club has long been a cornerstone of the local sporting community. From modest beginnings, the club has grown into a thriving hub with some of the finest facilities in the region with its main playing field widely regarded as one of the top surfaces in South East Queensland.

We proudly offer inclusive football opportunities for both male and female players, starting from age 3 and continuing through to Junior, Senior, and Masters programs. Whether you're taking your very first kick or playing competitively, there's a place for everyone at Creek.

Our club is more than a football ground, it's a family. We foster an environment that promotes growth, camaraderie, and lifelong values. At Creek, players of all ages and abilities are encouraged to improve, pursue excellence, enjoy the game, and most importantly, have fun.

We champion respect, dedication, and discipline, all principles that enrich not only your time on the field but every step of life beyond it.

ROLES AVAILABLE 2026

Coordinator – Senior Football (Metro and Masters)

Coordinator – Junior Football (U13 – U18)

Coordinator – MiniRoos Football (U8 – U12)

Coordinator – Squirts and Cubs (U3 – U7)

With the growth of the club, the Committee has determined it necessary to create coordinator positions for all tiers of football to ensure continued improvement and oversight.

Coordinators will be responsible for the following:

·         Coordinate teams and ensure teams have sufficient players to field competitive teams in their respective competitions.

·         Recruit coaches and managers for teams and assist with coaching support if required.

·         Maintain regular contact with all team coaches and ensure all reasonable needs are met and teams are resourced adequately.

·         Be the primary contact point for parents and junior players for all football and football related matters that are unable to be resolved by the team coach and/or manager.

·         Act as conduit between player, parents and coach and/or manager for resolving football and football related issues.

·         Raise any issues unable to be resolved at a coach, manager and Coordinator level with the Committee for attention.

All coordinator positions will be supported by the Committee and will liaise closely with the Vice-President and Registrar in fulfilling their role.

While a sound knowledge of football administration would be preferable, rules and processes can be learned. It is more important to be a good communicator, well organised, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

These are voluntary roles with a small remuneration offered at the end of the season. As a community club with some of the lowest registration fees in the region, we are unable to offer paid positions.

If interested, please email either Mel Cameron at vice@slackscreekfc.com.au or Vicki Whitaker at registra@slackscreekfc.com.au  Mel or Vicki will contact you on receipt of your expression of interest to discuss the role in more detail.
